Whether you want to learn to dance to your bridal song or you want to master an entire dance, learning with me, Sean McDonnell, “The Wedding Specialist,” is easy and fun. Most new students come to me with no dance experience (aka, “two left feet”). Yet many are surprised at how easy it is to learn move confidently around the floor.

We've taught more than 2,000 dance lessons to more than 20,000 people. You can do it, too!

Laura and I teach privates out of our Troy home (Rochester Rd., b/w Long Lake and Square Lake Rds.) or we can come to you. We currently teach beginning to advanced swing, Lindy Hop and Salsa; beginning to intermediate foxtrot, balboa and hustle; and beginning waltz and cha-cha.

Our home, one hour minimum is $50/hour. We teach mostly Mondays through Thursdays. Your place, one and a half hour minimum starts at $60/hour ($90 total for one and a half hours). An extra charge may apply for longer distances.

We can also teach small groups if you have some friends or family that are interested as well. The more people in your group, the less expensive it is per couple. Please contact us for pricing. You can find privates for $30-50 at studios but they are most often with "beginning teachers." Below is a list of some of our experience.

· The BIG3 - Taught a group swing dance class to as many as 80 beginners on five occasions.

· Liberty Ship Cruise - Performed for 800 people to a 16-piece big band on the deck of a WWII Liberty Ship as it cruised the Detroit River.
· Federal Mogul Corp. - Organized four couples and performed at its 100th anniversary party.
· Sault St. Marie Casino - Performed to a live band and taught a swing lesson at the grand opening of a new casino room.
· Hudson's Oakland Mall - Three special event performances including one in front of a live swing band.
· Hudson's Grand Rapids - Performed and taught lessons at the grand opening of a new store.
· Hudson's Somerset Mall - Special promotion performance for Lancome.
· Neiman Marcus - Special event performance.
· Twin Lakes Country Club - Performed at the grand opening for more than 600 patrons.
· Festival of Dance - Represented the swing community with a live stage performance.
· Detroit Red Wings - Two live performances during Red Wings Hockey.
· Detroit Rockers Soccer - Organized and performed with 10 couples during home opener.
· The Hillcrest - Organized four couples and performed twice at its annual charity fundraisers.
· Boat Town USA Pageant - Live swing performance at the annual pageant in Mt. Clemens.
· Detroit Skating Club - Two performances for worldwide skating competition receptions in Detroit and Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
· National Electrical Contractors Association - Organized dance troupe, performed and taught for holiday party.
